Since everyone has different goals, we offer a wide variety of savings options at Washtenaw Federal Credit Union. We offer:

Prime Share Account (Suffix 000)
The Prime Share Account is the basis for all other services of the Credit Union. The balance of the Prime Share Account must be maintained at a minimum of $5.00 to remain a member of the Credit Union.
Minimum Balance: $5.00 (One Share)
Fees: None

Bonus Share Savings Account (Suffix 001)
For those wanting a higher rate of return, we recommend the Bonus Share Savings Account.
Minimum Balance: The minimum balance required to open this account is $2,000.00.

Second/Third/Savings Account (Suffix 002-003)
The perfect way to put money away for special event or purchase. This account is a subsidiary of your Prime Share Account, but the funds are kept separate from your regular savings.
Minimum Balance: $0.00

Certificates of Deposits (Suffix 070-099)
Certificates of Deposits are available for terms of 180 days to five years. Rates are adjusted weekly and may be obtained by phoning the Credit Union.
Minimum Balance: IRA-$500, Regular-$500

Individual Retirement Account (Suffix 020)
Contributions to your IRA aren't treated as income for tax purposes until you withdraw the funds from your IRA. When you couple this advantage with the fact that no taxes are changed on the interest your IRA accumulates until after you draw on account, it's easy to see why IRAs are so popular.

Christmas, Vacation, & Club 55 (Suffix 050,051, 055)
Our club accounts are an excellent way to save money for holiday shopping and vacation expenses. Regular Contributions and a competitive dividend help your money grow quickly.
